Meet Sarah
Sarah Janali is a community development practitioner and consultant in Perth, Western Australia, with over two decades of experience helping social-purpose organisations engage with their communities to solve complex problems.
Having lived and worked in intercultural settings, Sarah’s expertise lies in working successfully with different cultures and helping organisations leverage cultural diversity for better outcomes.
Through expert coaching, training, facilitation and strategic support, Sarah helps organisations work better with stakeholders and create community-led solutions to solve complex challenges.
Career Highlights and Awards
Some career milestones that I’m particularly proud of:
Leading the development of the award-winning Hillview Intercultural Community Centre (City of Canning).
Collaborating with the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council to establish the Kaleidoscope Initiative and its flagship Mentoring Program.
Working with the City of Stirling and its community to develop the Council’s first Multicultural Framework (winner of the 2022 WA Multicultural Awards).
Awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2015 and travelling to the US, Canada and Europe to investigate municipal policies / programs that enhance the integration of migrant and refugee communities.
